Job Overview:
- Participate in systems design and validation activities throughout the entire product lifecycle, from pre-silicon emulation through post-silicon integration and validation.
- Collaborate with design, software, diagnostics, driver, and tools teams to define testing and debug methodologies for graphics and system-level validation.
- Lead technical discussions and presentations related to hardware architecture and systems design concepts.
- Support planning activities by identifying risks, dependencies, and validation strategies.
- Investigate and debug issues related to graphics IP during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phases.
- Develop and execute validation strategies, feature enablement plans, and unit test plans.
- Drive technical innovation initiatives to improve validation methodologies, automation, and debugging capabilities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to operational teams while promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities.
- Define and execute validation and testing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on debugging and validation efforts.
- Investigate and resolve graphics IP and system-level issues.
- Lead technical discussions and support planning activities.
- Develop tools, scripts, and methodologies to improve validation capabilities.
- Support system bring-up, debug, and production validation activities.
- Publish and manage test plan requirements and dependencies.
- Mentor operational teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience:
- 2 4 years of relevant experience in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
- 3 6 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience with FPGA and hardware emulation platforms for pre-silicon debug.
- Experience with graphics engines and rendering software pipelines.
- Experience with system-level bring-up, SoC debug techniques, and validation methodologies.
- Experience with computer hardware, networks, and common lab equipment.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of SoC architecture and graphics hardware pipelines.
- Strong understanding of BIOS, operating systems, boot flows, and driver-level interactions.
- Strong programming and scripting skills using Python, C/C++, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of graphics IP power management features and use cases.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.
Should Have:
- Passion for computer gaming and graphics performance optimization.
- Experience with pre-silicon emulation and debug activities.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives and mentoring teams.
Qualification And Education:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
