The Business Intelligence/Data Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic decision-making by analyzing business performance and developing growth strategies through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze datasets containing millions of records to identify trends, patterns, and exploratory insights
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems and forecast outcomes
- Partner with business teams to understand their strategy and goals, then translate them into actionable data initiatives
- Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau that provide clear, jargon-free insights
- Work with data engineering and tech colleagues to automate and operationalize your models
- Provide data-informed recommendations with a quantifiable value to improve product features, engagement, and member experience
- Monitor key metrics and performance indicators to develop strategies for business impact
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, data-informed decision-making, or strategy role
- Proven ability to extract, manipulate, and transform large datasets via Python and/or SQL
- Proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools including Tableau
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in data science, finance, statistics, economics, or a related field
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for a non-technical audience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, consultative approach
- Statistical experiment design and testing including inferential statistics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience or familiarity with financial services, digital publishing, or subscription products
- Proficiency with ML/AI techniques including predictive models to uncover insights and deploy optimizations
- Experience working with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics
- Experience with Jira/project management tools and Git-based workflows
