Kforce has a client seeking an Applications Specialist in Boca Raton, FL. This role supports financial operations by ensuring accurate application of payments, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with internal teams to address customer-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and apply customer payments within internal systems with a high degree of accuracy
* Review and validate system-generated refunds to ensure correctness prior to release
* Manage financial correspondence and support reconciliation activities
* Analyze aged accounts receivable balances and assist with resolution or write-off recommendations
* Respond to internal inquiries related to payment posting, adjustments, refunds, and account discrepancies
* Investigate and resolve cash application issues, including voids, reapplications, chargebacks, and credit card transactions
* Partner with offshore support teams to address escalated items and ensure timely resolution
* Maintain accurate documentation and support audit and compliance requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required; Some college coursework preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
Preferred Skills:
* Experience supporting financial operations in a regulated or high-volume environment
* Familiarity with premium receivables or similar billing structures
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
