FLiPP Productions is a US-based software company building a distributed automation platform. They are seeking a senior backend engineer to enhance their system's reliability and complete the remaining scope of their project, focusing on production-level operations and leveraging AI tools in their engineering processes.
Responsibilities:
- Take the system the rest of the way: harden the dispatch layer, finish the reliability story, ship the remaining V1 scope, and demonstrate 24-hour unattended operation under production load
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional Java or Kotlin Spring Boot experience
- Real distributed systems chops (Kafka consumer groups, partition rebalancing, idempotent processing patterns)
- Production database engineering (schema design, query optimization, indexing strategy at scale)
- Judgment from inheriting messy codebases and shipping clean releases
- Fluency with AI-augmented engineering
