Warehouse Asset Technician to support our client.
Location: Onsite Providence, Rhode Island (5 days/week)
Managing IT assets experience is optional
Duration: 6 month contract (through end of year) This position will support IT asset management operations. This role is responsible for handling inventory, shipping and receiving equipment, and maintaining accurate asset records to ensure compliance, traceability, and readiness for deployment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels of standard IT equipment and supplies
- Ship and receive equipment in accordance with established procedures and timelines
- Unbox, inspect, tag, and prepare devices for deployment or storage
- Update and maintain CMDB records to reflect current asset status (e.g., returned, retired, scrapped, shipped)
- Print and apply shipping labels for equipment sent to remote users or other company locations
- Generate and distribute return labels for remote users returning company?issued equipment
- Maintain detailed shipping and receiving logs to support audit requirements and asset traceability
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, or IT asset handling
- Familiarity with CMDB systems and asset tracking processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow documented procedures and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working onsite in a warehouse or stockroom environment
- Basic proficiency with computers and standard office tools
