Airbnb is a global company that connects hosts and guests for unique stays and experiences. They are seeking a Staff Business Solutions Engineer to lead business enablement using technical skills and SaaS technologies, focusing on collaboration capabilities and integrating AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and improve existing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a strategic partner of the business by aligning with business groups on strategic vision and business priorities; serve as a liaison between business and technology
- Understand technology capabilities required to support business needs, with a focus on leveraging AI to enhance productivity and creativity
- Develop and maintain a technology roadmap by proactively communicating and collaborating with cross functional business and technical stakeholders
- Lead business requirements gathering sessions and analyze key business processes and requirements, incorporating AI solutions where approved and applicable; work to gain approvals as new AI uses cases emerge
- Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes, use cases, requirements, system integrations, reporting, and data flow, including AI-enhanced processes
- Drive productivity and creativity by improving existing processes or implementing new business processes including AI-driven technology solutions when appropriate
- Collaborate closely with technical lead and engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions incorporating AI capabilities as appropriate
- Work with business users to document, manage, and prioritize bug fixes and enhancements, including those related to AI functionalities
- Support business users on system configuration and administration including identifying system issues and troubleshooting and analyzing potential solutions
- Support product development and release lifecycle by working with technical lead and engineers to test and release new system functions, ensuring on-time delivery of new products and features, including AI-driven enhancements, and assisting with new releases and approving all User Acceptance Testing
- Participate in sprint planning, on-call for your area as well as other team rituals, with a focus on continual process reflection and improvement over time
Requirements:
- 9+ years of experience with SaaS technologies used by internal employees
- Experience in establishing effective business partnerships within and outside the organization
- Manage customer relationships to gather business requirements and processes to support needs fulfillment
- Highly responsive with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and juggle multiple deadlines and projects, and keep peers, partners, and supervisors abreast of activities
- Proficiency in leading user interviews, requirements gathering, creating, maintaining, and supporting all application development artifacts, including user stories, process flows, screen mockups, data diagrams, business rule definitions, design documents, and reporting scripts
- Strong analytical and system design skills, problem-solving skills, and a track record of seeing tasks through to successful completion
- Experience working in a technical environment and being able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mind, attention to detail, and investigative skills
- Experience working with self-service support tools in a high-growth company to promote shift-left initiatives as well as moving information and help from support staff to self-service knowledge repositories
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application across collaboration technologies to drive productivity and creativity
- Working knowledge with Jira Cloud is a must
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Miro, Asana, Figma, & Airtable are a strong advantage
