Lifted, an Upwork Company is seeking a Product Manager to serve as a subject matter expert within the Quote-to-Cash domain, focused on subscription management systems and processes. The role involves collaborating across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Revenue Operations to ensure effective subscription lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Own and optimize subscription lifecycle processes including offer configuration, activation, billing, collections, entitlements, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations
- Translate complex business requirements into clear product requirements, process flows, and documentation
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to drive system and process improvements
- Ensure subscription systems support accurate billing, entitlement management, and revenue reporting
- Support integration and data flow across subscription platforms and downstream systems
- Analyze subscription and billing data to troubleshoot issues, validate system outputs, and support reporting needs
- Contribute to scalable solutions that support growth and operational efficiency
Requirements:
- Experience working in subscription management, order-to-cash, or revenue operations within a SaaS, technology, or marketplace company
- Deep understanding of subscription lifecycle processes including billing, entitlements, renewals, and cancellations
- Hands-on experience with subscription or billing platforms such as Zuora, Recurly, Chargebee, Stripe Billing, or Salesforce CPQ
- Strong knowledge of billing models including flat-rate, tiered, usage-based or metered, and hybrid approaches
- Familiarity with revenue recognition principles such as ASC 606 and how subscription events map to revenue schedules
- Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business processes into structured requirements and documentation
- Ability to work with data to validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot subscription and billing workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience in high-volume marketplace or e-commerce subscription environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday, NetSuite, or SAP
- Knowledge of payment processing ecosystems including payment gateways and PCI compliance
- Experience with subscription analytics including churn analysis or LTV modeling
- Background in process improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma
