Sodexo USA is a dynamic division of a global procurement network that manages significant spending for various industries. The Sales Business Analyst role involves analyzing sales data, building reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret sales, pipeline, and revenue data from multiple sources to support performance analysis and decision-making
- Build and maintain standardized reports and dashboards in Power BI, Salesforce, and Excel to track sales results, pipeline health, and key performance indicators
- Deliver complex analytical use cases including trend analysis, period-over-period comparisons, and custom reporting aligned to business needs
- Identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and process breakdowns impacting sales reporting, pipeline visibility, and forecasting accuracy
- Partner with Sales Operations and cross‑functional teams to resolve data challenges and improve data integrity across Salesforce, Power BI, and downstream reporting tools
- Perform root‑cause analysis on reporting discrepancies related to opportunity stage changes, close dates, and account relationship logic
- Analyze sales process performance, including pipeline movement, conversion trends, and deal outcomes
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve analytical workflows, reporting efficiency, metric definitions, and data standards
- Document reporting processes, business rules, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to translate business questions into clearly defined analyses and reporting outputs
- Communicate insights through clear reports, summaries, and visualizations appropriate for both operational and leadership audiences
- Enable stakeholder understanding of metrics and reporting through clear explanation of assumptions, methodology, and outputs
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Sales Operations Analyst
- Strong experience working with large datasets
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and Salesforce reporting
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Management Experience - 3 Years
- Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years
- Practical understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and revenue metrics
- Experience supporting forecasting, performance management, or sales operations functions
- Familiarity with the GPO industry or multi-unit customer environments
