The Business Analyst role involves analyzing business requirements, performing complex data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business requirements with a strong focus on data analysis, reporting, and operational insights
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, policy administration, and distribution teams to identify data-driven business improvements and process optimization opportunities
- Perform complex data analysis using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to support business decisions, trend analysis, and KPI reporting
- Gather, define, and translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, dashboards, and analytical reporting solutions
- Conduct fit-gap analysis across insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar core systems and recommend scalable solutions
- Support data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and system integration activities for insurance applications and reporting platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams during solution design, testing, UAT, and production implementation activities
- Develop client-ready presentations, storyboards, executive reports, and business insights to support strategic and operational initiatives
- Monitor insurance data quality, identify inconsistencies, and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Leverage strong P&C domain expertise in underwriting, claims, rating, and policy administration to drive business analysis, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives
