About this role
Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a Simulation AI Infrastructure Intern to assist in building a secure AI agent environment for modeling and simulation workflows. The intern will work on integrating agentic CLI tools with locally hosted LLMs in Docker containers to create an AI-assisted engineering workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure AI agent CLI frameworks inside Docker
- Connect agent frameworks to locally hosted LLMs through Ollama
- Configure secure containerized environments with restricted/no network access
- Build workflow tooling, commands, MCP tools/resources, and plugins tailored to simulation workflows
- Integrate simulation documentation and engineering repositories into the agent workspace
- Demonstrate the ability for the agent to:
- Configure vehicle simulations
- Execute workflows
- Perform analysis and post-processing
