The Data Product Manager role focuses on developing Finance-related data products to support planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive delivery and ensure user satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Own Finance-focused data products end to end, with cross-functional teams to set priorities, shape requirements, and drive delivery
- Build and maintain pipelines, datasets, dashboards, APIs, and frameworks that Finance teams rely on daily for planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Contribute to the underlying data management tools and services that power AI and BI across the company
- Understand stakeholders by spending time with Finance teams learning their workflows, translating their needs into clear requirements and user stories, and building relationships across Finance, engineering, and other technical counterparts
- Keep the voice of the user central in every prioritization and discovery conversation, and push for the right solutions even when the ask is not fully formed
- Own your product backlog, break complex problems into well-scoped increments, manage dependencies across technical teams, and support agile delivery from sprint planning through release
- Define success metrics and track adoption, usability, and business value
- Create documentation and onboarding materials, support rollouts, and partner with stakeholders on change management
- Work with engineering and finance teams to drive resolution and capture what can be learned for next time
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of product management experience with a focus on data products, platforms, analytics, or internal business systems, including at least one year at a modern, high-growth company
- Direct experience partnering with Finance stakeholders on planning, forecasting, or reporting workflows
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and scalable architecture concepts such as lakehouse or medallion models
- Experience working with sensitive financial data, including SOX-related processes, with sound judgment on balancing controls with execution speed
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to give stakeholders clear visibility into product direction, progress, and risk
- You thrive with clear direction and take full ownership of your workstreams once priorities are set
- Hands-on experience with BI, analytics, or data engineering tools
- Experience creating documentation or enablement content for internal users
- Interest in metadata, data governance, or data discoverability
- Experience building or improving internal tools or platforms
