Founding Software Engineer, Infrastructure ($150k - $300k + equity) at Kinro (YC P26)

Standout is recruiting for a YC-backed seed stage startup building AI sales agents for the insurance industry. The Founding Software Engineer, Infrastructure will be responsible for designing and operating the infrastructure for AI sales agents that facilitate the end-to-end insurance sale process.

Responsibilities:

• Design and own production infrastructure for the agents: cloud services, networking, data systems, deployment pipelines, and observability
• Use agentic coding tools aggressively to ship infrastructure and internal developer tooling faster, with strong planning, guardrails, and review
• Strengthen security across app infrastructure, secrets management, sandboxing, and customer integrations, including enterprise and regulated deployments

Requirements:

• Built and operated production infrastructure at an early stage startup
• Hands-on in code (TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar)
• Strong judgment on cloud architecture, CI/CD, databases, queues, security boundaries, and failure modes
• Ability to break down infrastructure work so agentic coding tools accelerate the team without creating operational risk
• Care about simplicity over unnecessary complexity
• Comfortable being the only infrastructure engineer at a three-person company
