JSP is seeking an Electrical Engineer who thrives in technically demanding environments and enjoys solving complex challenges related to electrical systems. The role involves designing and analyzing electrical systems for high-performance facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring project success through effective communication and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop low and medium voltage (LV/MV) power distribution systems
- Create single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and electrical documentation
- Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop analysis
- Support arc flash analysis in accordance with NFPA and IEEE standards
- Assist with protective relay coordination and development of relay settings
- Produce and review electrical drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, controls, and construction
- Support construction and commissioning efforts, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
- Assist with scope development and proposal preparation
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to support project execution
- Participate in technical quality control and project reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
- PE license is a plus
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Solid understanding of LV/MV power systems and electrical theory
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, IEEE)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- EIT/FE certification preferred
- Familiarity with power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) preferred
- Experience in data centers, power generation, industrial, or other mission-critical environments preferred
