Job Title: Senior Linux Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Jacksonville, FL / Plano, TX / Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

Job Description:

Client is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience supporting large-scale Linux environments. The ideal candidate will lead complex engineering initiatives, provide advanced OS support, and design scalable infrastructure solutions across mission-critical systems.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Linux administration (RHEL 6/7, SLES 11+)
• Experience with Red Hat Linux Clustering Solutions
• Hands-on experience with LVM, SAN multipathing, and ESX virtualized servers
• Shell scripting and automation experience
• Linux break/fix support and troubleshooting
• Puppet installation, configuration, and support
• Experience with VAS/AD, yum, BladeLogic
• Knowledge of HP ProLiant DL series, HP3PAR, and HP Smart storage arrays
• Experience with bare metal servers and enterprise storage environments
• IBM AIX administration experience is a plus
• SLES11+ with HANA DB support experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Linux infrastructure solutions
• Perform advanced OS administration and engineering activities
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, clustering, and storage issues
• Support enterprise automation and configuration management
• Work closely with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams
• Lead multiple complex engineering initiatives in enterprise environments
