Pantheon is a company that powers over 300,000 websites globally, including for organizations like Google and the United Nations. They are seeking a Software Engineer II to build features for a real-time collaborative content platform, contributing to architectural decisions and working across the full stack.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with shared ownership of quality
- Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions as an active participant, not just an implementer
- Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into working, well-crafted software
- Integrate AI tooling into your development workflow and into the product itself
- Participate in code review and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team
- Learn and grow quickly — this is a team that will stretch you in the best possible way
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Solid full-stack capability — you have shipped production code on both backend and frontend, and you are willing to stretch into whichever side a problem requires
- Experience with modern API design: REST, GraphQL, or webhooks
- Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong fundamentals: you write tests, understand tradeoffs, and think about maintainability
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- You are actively building with AI — using it in your development workflow or integrating it into the products you work on
