Russell Tobin is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to bridge the gap between Marketing and Product/Development teams. The role involves collaborating with various teams to translate technical updates into effective marketing strategies and ensuring alignment on product updates and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with product development teams to understand features, enhancements, and roadmaps, translating technical updates into clear, audience-focused messaging
- Act as a liaison between Marketing and Product/Development teams to ensure alignment on product updates, digital initiatives, and customer experience improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Development, UX, Media, and Marketing teams to support website enhancements and product releases
- Communicate product updates effectively to customers by coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring consistency in messaging
- Participate in project discussions early to assess downstream impacts on user experience, content, brand, and messaging
- Support cross-functional initiatives by guiding collaboration, clarifying ownership, and ensuring alignment within established RACI frameworks
- Develop, write, edit, and manage content across marketing materials, websites, and customer-facing platforms, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment
- Create and optimize content for both existing and prospective customers, supporting new audience growth and evolving digital channels
- Ensure all content adheres to brand voice, style guidelines, and best practices
- Collaborate on website content, design, and functionality to meet user needs and align with SEO and emerging AEO (AI-driven search) best practices
- Manage content projects through all stages, including planning, development, review, approval, and execution
- Develop and execute marketing processes related to product releases, incorporating best practices and multi-stakeholder coordination
- Create project briefs, communication plans, and timelines in collaboration with marketing and cross-functional teams
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met with strong attention to detail
- Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and processes across marketing and product collaboration
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or product marketing
- Proven experience working closely with technical product development teams, including support for product roadmaps, feature planning, and release cycles
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, manage ambiguity, and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Google Search Console
- Understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and AI-driven search behaviors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with project management tools such as Workfront or similar platforms
