Node.js / TypeScript Engineer

Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript / AWS)
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Role Overview
We re looking for a senior engineer who owns outcomes not just code. You ll design, build, and operate scalable backend systems, taking full responsibility from development to production reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Own features end-to-end: design build deploy operate
Design scalable distributed systems handling high traffic
Build microservices using Node.js & TypeScript (e.g., NestJS, Express)
Ensure quality via strong testing (unit, integration, E2E)
Work with Amazon Web Services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS)
Design event-driven systems using Kafka, Redis, and NoSQL databases
Implement observability using Datadog and Splunk
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability
What We re Looking For:
Strong Node.js & TypeScript experience
Expertise in distributed systems & microservices
Hands-on with AWS and cloud infrastructure
Ownership mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Nice to Have :
Experience with performance tuning, circuit breakers, and CI/CD
Exposure to large-scale systems and cross-team initiatives
