Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to support enterprise network, telecommunications, VoIP, and security infrastructure operations for a State Client in Tallahassee, FL.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, network security, VoIP systems, VPNs, enterprise monitoring tools, and telecommunications infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, analyze, maintain, and improve enterprise network, telecommunications, and security technologies
- Support Cisco, Palo Alto, and enterprise network security platforms
- Perform network engineering, operational support, and capacity planning
- Monitor enterprise systems and proactively identify service-impacting risks and vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot and support firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, and telecommunications infrastructure
- Support vulnerability monitoring, remediation, and security compliance activities
- Maintain and support network monitoring and management tools
- Research and recommend infrastructure improvements and technology enhancements
- Support enterprise voice, data, and communications systems to ensure operational continuity
- Develop technical specifications, implementation documentation, and operational procedures
- Standardize and improve network and telecommunications environments for stability and knowledge transfer
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and escalation support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 5 years of experience supporting telecommunications and multi-platform enterprise environments
- 3 5 years of experience providing technical support for telecommunications services
- 3 5 years of customer support experience handling technical issues and escalations
- Experience managing and participating in complex telecommunications projects
