Mindful Health Solutions is a leading outpatient psychiatry group dedicated to helping patients heal and thrive. They are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer with Lean Six Sigma expertise to evaluate and optimize internal processes, focusing initially on Revenue Cycle Management and expanding to improve clinical, operational, and administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze end-to-end RCM workflows, including internal teams and third-party vendors
- Identify root causes of denials, inefficiencies, and revenue leakage
- Lead Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) initiatives to improve billing accuracy and cycle times
- Partner with third-party vendors to improve accountability, SLA adherence, and performance
- Develop and monitor KPIs (denial rates, AR days, clean claim rates, etc.)
- Conduct audits and performance reviews of billing operations
- Standardize workflows and implement best practices across the revenue cycle
- Expand process improvement efforts across clinical, operations, and administrative teams
- Evaluate cross-functional workflows and improve handoffs between departments
- Lead organization-wide initiatives to reduce variation, increase efficiency, and improve outcomes
- Drive process standardization across multi-site clinic operations
- Partner with leadership to identify and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities
- Develop SOPs, documentation, and training materials to sustain improvements
- Build dashboards and reporting to track performance and drive decisions
- Present insights, progress, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage multiple projects and ensure successful implementation of initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma certification required (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred)
- 3–7+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, or healthcare performance improvement
- Experience working with third-party vendors and managing performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Proficiency in Excel and/or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive initiatives to completion
- Experience in multi-site clinic environments, ideally in mental health
- Background in change management and process standardization
- Experience scaling processes in a growing organization
