Watchmaker Genomics is inviting applications for the full-time position of Technical Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will develop impactful marketing content, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive brand visibility through strategic campaigns, product launches, and industry events.
Responsibilities:
- Simplify complex NGS technical concepts into clear and engaging content that resonates with our audience
- Support the planning, production, and implementation of marketing activities per the strategic plan
- Develop content for product launch and positioning, including brochures, web landing pages, and FAQs
- Develop content for marketing needs, including long form articles, video scripts, infographics, advertisements, emails, newsletters, and application notes
- Draft and edit press releases, blog, and social posts that raise brand awareness
- Research and understand our target audience to produce compelling content, and work with cross-functional teams to align on messaging
- Maintain a working understanding of Watchmaker’s product offerings and stay current on applications relevant to Watchmaker’s portfolio
- Identify relevant industry events and trade shows that present opportunities for brand exposure, lead generation, and networking
- Support tradeshow attendance by developing show strategy and executing on key deliverables, including the generation of presentations, landing pages, handouts, social, and outreach emails
Requirements:
- Master's + 6 years relevant experience; or Bachelor's + 8 years relevant experience
- Experience in biotech and a start-up environment are highly desirable
- Technical knowledge of next-generation sequencing and associated genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic applications
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information into content that engages both scientific and non-scientific audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask, be able to work at a high standard, perform consistently under pressure along with pre-determined deadlines and work without supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work as an effective member of a team
- Good communication and personal task management skills and a high level of self-motivation and initiative
- A creative and disciplined approach to problem-solving
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Demonstrated ability in developing on-brand messaging that best represents a brand's voice and tone
