The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is a non-profit Tribal health organization designed to meet the unique health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. The IT Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for providing functional, production, and operational support and enhancements to business processes, collaborating with stakeholders to improve systems and ensure user requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements
- Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and/or business processes to meet user requirements
- Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts, and writing specifications
- Improves systems by studying current system practices and IT modification design
- Recommends controls by identifying problems
- Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones
- Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and recommending change
- Collaborates with Data Architects to develop reporting specifications that meet business requirements and organizational needs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Alaska Tribal Health System, ANTHC, and Alaska Native culture(s)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, Excel, Access, Transact-SQL, Stored Procedures and Functions, Power Pivot/View
- Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting live software systems
- Skilled in writing program documentation
- Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of applications
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
- Ability to turn business requirements into a technical solution
- Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence
- Ability to support and manage all aspects of a project: design, development, testing, implementation, and support transition

- A Bachelor's degree in informatics, computer programming, software engineering or related field
- Business Systems Analyst I - One (1) year of related work experience
- Business Systems Analyst II - Three (3) years' experience in application support or related field
- Business Systems Analyst III - Five (5) years' experience in application support or related field
