They are seeking a Lead Product Designer for the Experience Strategy team to innovate and validate new product ideas, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring disruptive innovations to life.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-fidelity prototypes to communicate a clear vision, align stakeholders, and accelerate decision-making across the team
- Identify and shape new opportunity areas by combining continuous discovery habits, tech trends, and consumer behaviors into testable concepts (Horizon 2 & 3 discovery and concept development)
- Drive rapid experimentation cycles, partnering closely with engineering and product delivery teams to move ideas from concept to testing (0-1 Pilot Execution)
- Actively prototype with LLMs, agents, and AI-driven workflows to explore new interaction models and service experiences, while defining differentiators that are uniquely Block
- Collaborate deeply across Product, Engineering, Data Science/AI, Customer Insights, and Field Operations to translate insights into prototypes, experiments, and pilot-ready experiences
- Contribute to a year-round testing and learning approach that supports Block Next growth strategies, including elevating client experience, evolving the operating model, and transforming product, design, and engineering capabilities
Requirements:
- 8+ years in product design, experience design, or related roles, with proven 0→1 delivery and pilot/launch experience
- Advanced ability in no-code, low-code, and AI-assisted prototyping to simulate full product experiences quickly and credibly
- Hands-on experience prototyping with modern AI capabilities (LLMs, agents, automation workflows) and designing responsible, differentiated AI-powered experiences
- Ability to design end-to-end experiences across touchpoints, spanning digital products and service ecosystems
- Strong storytelling via prototypes and design narratives to align executives and teams
- Strong habit of grounding design in customer empathy and understanding
- Bachelor's degree in design, research, HCI or related field
