Mercury Ignite: Software Engineering Graduate Development Program (Remote)

Mercury Insurance is seeking curious, passionate, and hard-working graduates for their remote Graduate Program in Application Development. This 12-month structured program offers hands-on experience across real business projects, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Rotate through assignments in different areas of Application Development, building a solid foundation in software engineering concepts, tools, quality engineering, and processes
• Develop a strong understanding of relevant product areas, codebases, and systems
• Write high-quality code for simple scenarios with good test coverage
• Help with any Application System Support needs
• Participate in Review of Design and Application code to ensure Best Practices, Adherence to Mercury Standards and High Quality

Requirements:

• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S
• Recently completed a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in an information technology (computer science, Electrical engineering, Mathematics and Data science) field
• Able to provide a cumulative GPA, as reported by your school. Minimum 3.0 GPA required, 3.5 or higher GPA preferred
• Graduation date on or after November 2025
• Planning to seek full-time employment by June 2026
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Good problem-solving skills
• Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, Python
• Good understanding of different data structures and algorithms
• Preferred but not required: experience with AI, SQL and Git/GitHub/GitLab
