EXL is seeking a seasoned Analytics Engagement Manager with deep direct marketing expertise and strong analytical capabilities to partner closely with clients across the West Coast. This client-facing role focuses on building data-driven direct marketing strategies and driving measurable business impact through rigorous test-and-learn programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client-facing direct marketing strategy across acquisition, lifecycle, and retention, turning insights into clear plans and priorities
- Own targeting/segmentation, test-and-learn, and performance optimization (lift, CAC, LTV, ROI) in partnership with analytics and channel teams
- Translate analytical findings into executive-ready narratives, presentations, and dashboards
- Influence decisions by linking performance insights to business goals, customer needs, and market context
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with client stakeholders and lead key working sessions and reviews
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (analytics, marketing, delivery) to align scope, timelines, and high-quality outputs
- Manage and mentor team members, ensuring analytical rigor and strong strategic thinking in deliverables
- Oversee project plans, timelines, and risks to drive smooth execution and on-time delivery
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required (MBA a plus); Business, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years in direct marketing/CRM and marketing analytics/strategy, including substantial client-facing work
- Expertise in segmentation/targeting, offer & channel strategy, testing, and performance measurement (lift, CAC, LTV, ROI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to connect insights to business and customer outcomes
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; comfortable presenting to senior/executive stakeholders
- Hands-on analytics skills (SQL required; Python/ML and predictive modeling preferred) and comfort working with marketing/customer data
- Experience owning end-to-end direct marketing programs across channels such as email, SMS, direct mail, paid media, and on-site/in-app messaging
