HealthPlanOne is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Business Partner to support their HR department initiatives. The HRBP will oversee various HR needs, provide guidance on employee relations, and partner with leadership to drive retention and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with operations leadership through regular team meetings, 1:1 meetings, etc. to maintain a detailed understanding of business objectives and ensure alignment of HR goals/objectives
- Provide counsel to leadership on applicable human resources policies, federal and state laws, recommend strategies on employee relations and performance management issues
- Lead goal setting/performance review process annually to include coaching and feedback to leaders
- Conduct annual talent reviews with leadership to identify high potential performers and assist with development plans as needed
- Provide supervisor coaching to identify low performers and assist with performance improvement plans or exit strategies
- Partner with training and development team to create and deliver leadership programs for all supervisors and above
- Help drive HR communication plan annually, including recommending/developing proactive solutions to increase engagement and retention
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both orally and written by effectively conveying information during Quarterly Business Review meetings, New Hire Orientation sessions, and in managing Employee Relations issues to ensure clarity, collaboration, and timely resolution
- Partner with Operations for the coordination of large employee reductions
- Manage the investigation and response process in coordination with legal counsel to respond to agency complaints/audits
- Investigate and respond to employee issues, make disciplinary action recommendations, collaborating with HRBP team as appropriate
- Provide support to benefits, payroll, and other service departments in addressing overlapping team member initiatives and resolving related issues
- Work closely with Leave Team to oversee the FMLA, ADA, and STD processes and act as liaison between 3rd party vendor/leadership to monitor usage and coordinate return to work
- Work closely with HRIS to identify trends and metrics used to drive performance, measure success, develop solutions
- Provide leadership with engagement resources for reporting and learning sessions to assist with performance discussions and improve engagement/retention
- Facilitate new employee orientation, coordinating with other internal departments to ensure a world class new hire experience
- Complete special projects as needed throughout the year
- Participate in educational opportunities to stay informed of trends and changes in the climate (national and local SHRM membership, certifications, training)
- Model company values through a spirit of continuous improvement and innovation and the desire to provide value-added services in support of business objectives
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or other business-related discipline
- 3-5 years previous human resource experience
- Strong employee relations background
- Working knowledge and demonstrated experience implementing HR best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work productively and independently in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
- Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and creative thinking skills
- Some travel may be required (<10%)
- PHR/SPHR Certification
- Previous experience in a call center/sales environment
