About this role
Particle41 is a company focused on web applications and SaaS products, seeking a Senior Developer & Technical Project Manager. The role involves taking ownership of development, managing technical projects, and ensuring systems are secure and scalable while collaborating closely with leadership and non-technical team members.
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and deploy features for our SaaS web applications
- Read, analyze, and improve existing codebases
- Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Identify and fix vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and poor architecture
- Establish and enforce development best practices and standards
- Design systems and features with long-term scalability in mind
- Make decisions on frameworks, tools, and structure
- Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy and quality before implementation
- Optimize performance and system reliability
- Own development timelines and deliverables
- Break down projects into clear tasks and milestones
- Collaborate with internal team members (marketing, ops, leadership)
- Ensure projects move forward proactively without constant oversight
- Use tools like Claude and Abacus to accelerate development where appropriate
- Prompt effectively and refine outputs
- Validate and improve AI-generated code (not blindly trust it)
- Manage code through GitHub workflows
- Deploy and maintain applications via Vercel (or similar platforms)
- Handle integrations, APIs, and third-party tools
- Troubleshoot bugs, outages, and performance issues
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience
- Proven ability to work within and improve existing codebases
- Experience building and maintaining web applications or SaaS products
- Strong understanding of Frontend and/or full-stack development
- Strong understanding of APIs and integrations
- Strong understanding of GitHub workflows
- Strong understanding of deployment platforms (Vercel preferred)
- Experience reviewing code for quality, security, and scalability
