Senior Software Engineer

Unity is the world’s leading game engine, powering play for more than 3 billion consumers each month. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of their business-critical data platform, collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality solutions that solve real business and customer problems.

Responsibilities:

• Not just handed JIRA tickets; you will be partnering with stakeholders, defining the problem space, pitching technical solutions and owning them through to production
• Identify reliability concerns and opportunities for improvement
• Pitch and deliver architectural improvements
• Influence the roadmap towards technical excellence in software and data engineering

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, and experience applying them within data engineering
• Expertise working with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink
• Autonomous and effective in a team setting
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders and translating their needs to technical requirements for team-wide delivery
