The Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer will provide technical knowledge and process expertise to improve supplier performance across various production phases, ensuring that technical data packages are accurate and that supplier performance meets quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
- Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
- Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
- Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
- Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action
- Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
- Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
- Support travel as needed
Requirements:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Relevant experience is work in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier management
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Master's Degree in the following Majors: Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
- Existing Secret Clearance
- Experience in Statement of Work (SOW) generation
- Experience with design and development of products that fall within the electrical or mechanical engineering discipline
- Experience performing supplier assessment
- Familiarity of Export and Import regulation
