Description:
Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Ottumwa, IA
Duration: 24 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering design support and troubleshoot issues for the Windrower Platform production line.
- Develop and evaluate design improvements to enhance cost efficiency, product quality, and overall performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and supply management as needed.
- Define and establish engineering specifications to address routine issues and project requirements.
- Review and analyze test plans to ensure proper verification and validation of design changes.
- Flexibility to support production schedules, including occasional overtime.
- Experience with Creo or similar CAD software.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with product verification and validation processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SAP systems.
- Knowledge of assembly line processes and documentation.
- Experience with welding processes and related documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
