Laboratory Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the United States, dedicated to transforming the health care experience. The Laboratory Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will analyze and report on a variety of statistical, financial, and clinical data specific to the reference laboratory business, providing insights that drive department and sales success.

Responsibilities:

• Transform complex data into actionable insights that drive department, sales, and customer success
• Manage special projects, ensure data integrity, and oversee the integration and maintenance of vital laboratory systems and supporting databases
• Analyze trends and outcomes within laboratory data, review financial performance of business operations, and evaluate market performance and pricing structures
• Provide answers, possible solutions, and pricing analysis to grant a competitive advantage for the reference lab sales team
• Report data accurately and timely, completing special projects as assigned ensuring that all information meets the highest data integrity
• Use appropriate BI tools and other applications necessary for meeting department, sales team, and customer needs
• Continuously search for opportunities of automating manual processes and developing on-demand tools for descriptive data
• Present data and information in a manner suitable to those receiving it, promoting data integrity and confidentiality

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data science, computer science, statistics, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related majors
• 1 to 2 years previous experience preferred
• Strong background in practical statistics is preferred
