Senior Project / Program Manager

The Senior Project / Program Manager provides high‑level leadership and oversight for complex projects across a healthcare technology environment, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery in alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met
• Develop, review, and maintain project management documentation, including charters, schedules, risk assessments, communication plans, and status reports
• Apply advanced project management principles, methodologies, and best practices to guide project teams and ensure consistent execution
• Coordinate with stakeholders at all organizational levels, facilitating communication, decision‑making, and alignment across technical, clinical, and administrative groups
• Monitor project performance, identify issues or risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project momentum and outcomes

Requirements:

• Master's degree; PMP (or equivalent certification)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience planning, managing and controlling projects
• Shall meet at least one of the following basic qualifications: Experience within a medical center and Healthcare Technology Management (HTM)/ Biomedical Engineering department, Experience working in or with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Understanding of VISN, VA medical center, and HTM/Biomedical Engineering department operations
• Requires to have a strong healthcare/HTM background, and VHA experience
• This position requires some travel, estimated at up to 30 trips per year, typically short duration and spread across the team
