Project Engineer III- Mechanical

McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. They are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer III to join their Engineering & Design team, focusing on high-performance building designs that ensure occupant comfort and safety while maximizing profitability and environmental protection.

Responsibilities:

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions
• Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures
• Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently
• Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in the budget
• Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks
• Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations, airside systems, piping systems, equipment selection and multi-discipline coordination
• Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks
• Produces design drawings and building information models for construction
• Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of HVAC design experience
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
• Knowledge of Revit required
• Onsite construction experience considered and welcome
• Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome
• Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE, and/or other software tools welcome
• Engineering in Training Certificate preferred
