UX/UI Design & Research Intern (Flexible, 3-5hrs/week)

Kelly Tutors LLC is a Seattle-based edutainment company focused on building AI-powered business simulators and financial literacy tools for children. They are seeking a UX/UI Design & Research Intern to work on various projects including UX research, UI design, product design, and analytics optimization, allowing interns to choose their focus area and work flexibly.

Responsibilities:

• User flow analysis and site audits
• Competitor research and benchmarking
• Heuristic evaluation of kellytutors.com and Little Biz Town
• Accessibility review
• Squarespace page structure, navigation, and breadcrumb implementation
• Page layout improvements and visual hierarchy feedback
• Canva asset creation and visual consistency review
• Mobile responsiveness testing
• Wireframing and prototyping concepts for Little Biz Town simulators
• User journey mapping for student ages 5–18
• Figma mockups and design system suggestions
• Google Analytics setup and reporting
• SEO/UX overlap analysis (page speed, structure, discoverability)
• A/B testing concepts for class pages and landing pages

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a UX, UI, Web Design, HCI, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or related program
• Based in a US state (except California, New York, or Washington DC) or outside the US entirely
• Self-directed — you don't need hand-holding to get started
• Has an opinion about what good design looks like and can defend it
• Entrepreneurial mindset — you've built something, run something, or want to
• Experience with Squarespace
