SunSource is one of North America’s leading value-add industrial distribution companies, specializing in Fluid Power and related solutions. The Outside Sales Account Manager will drive sales growth by winning new business, developing target accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the Phoenix, AZ market.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed annual sales and gross profit goals
- Prospect, follow up, and convert new OEM, Capital Project, and MRO customers
- Identify and focus on key strategic accounts for long-term growth
- Conduct detailed needs assessments and develop tailored solutions based on technical and business insights
- Create compelling proposals, presentations, and quotations that align with customer requirements
- Close deals that maximize value for both the customer and the company
- Provide responsive, on-time, and error-free service while proactively solving problems
- Leverage internal technical and service resources to deliver the best solutions
- Track metrics, manage opportunities, and report weekly progress
- Participate in weekly accountability meetings and ongoing training through SunSource University
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering OR 2-year technical degree in Fluid Power (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
- Consultative, value-added sales approach
- Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and competitive
- Valid driver's license required
- Overnight travel may be required at times
- 3+ years of industrial sales experience, experience with value-add sales is strongly preferred
- 2+ years in Fluid Power sales is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Automation or Motion Control a plus
