TradeStation is an online brokerage firm focused on delivering an ultimate trading experience for active traders. They are seeking an experienced Product Management Director to lead the Active Trader product area, responsible for owning the product vision and roadmap while collaborating with various teams to enhance trading tools for high-volume traders.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product roadmap for the Active Trader segment across TITAN X, HUB, and Mobile, with deep focus on complex options strategies, futures, and derivatives tooling
- Define and prioritize features that drive meaningful improvements in trade volume, client retention, and the overall experience for high-value active traders
- Conduct ongoing customer discovery with VIP active traders and translate insights into well-defined product requirements
- Develop a clear point of view on what separates professional-grade trading tools from consumer-grade experiences — and build to that standard
- Monitor product KPIs and business outcomes; use data to inform prioritization and flag risks early
- Partner with engineering and design to drive from concept to delivery — acting as the connective tissue between business goals and technical execution
- Work closely with marketing, CX, compliance, and risk to ensure product launches are coordinated and well-supported across the organization
- Engage with senior stakeholders and executive leadership to communicate roadmap strategy, surface trade-offs, and align on priorities
- Evaluate competitive developments in the active trading and fintech space and proactively incorporate insights into the product strategy
- Partner with compliance and risk on regulatory considerations, particularly as they relate to derivatives and options product development
- Provide direction and mentorship to PMs on the Active Trader team; model strong product thinking and execution standards
- Contribute to a culture of speed, precision, and continuous improvement in how the PM team operates
- Leverage AI tools as part of your everyday workflow to move faster, synthesize research, and improve the quality of your outputs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of owning complex, customer-facing products end to end with a focus on active trading or financial services
- Strong command of PM fundamentals: discovery, prioritization, road mapping, KPI definition, stakeholder communication, and go-to-market execution
- Demonstrated ability to ship software features in an agile environment with measurable business impact
- Experience working directly with engineering teams on technical trade-offs — you can have a meaningful conversation about API design, data models, and system constraints
- Comfortable building and using self-service analytics to measure product performance; data fluency is expected, not optional
- Clear, precise written communication — your ability to articulate intent directly determines what gets built
- Deep, working knowledge of active trading with meaningful expertise in multi-leg options strategies, equity derivatives, and/or futures
- Familiarity with broker-dealer platform conventions, order entry UX, risk management tools, and post-trade analytics
- Intuition for what VIP-level active trader UX looks like and what distinguishes professional-grade tools from consumer-grade experiences
- Ability to write accurate, detailed product requirements without relying on a subject matter expert for every decision
- Experience operating at a senior level with exposure to executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership
- Ability to influence without authority across design, engineering, marketing, and compliance
- Organized and focused under pressure; able to manage multiple product tracks simultaneously without losing precision
- Growth-oriented mindset — you proactively stay ahead of industry trends, competitive shifts, and evolving client needs
- Personal trading experience in options or futures — market participation creates intuition that is hard to teach
- Prior experience in a senior PM role with some people management or mentorship responsibility
- Familiarity with Amplitude, Databricks, or similar analytics platforms for self-service product measurement
- Experience at a broker-dealer, trading platform, or fintech company serving professional or active trader segments
