Hidani Tech is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to enhance safety practices across construction projects. The role involves collaborating with various teams to identify hazards and implement effective safety solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and improving construction safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices
- Collect, analyze, and interpret safety-related data including incident reports, inspection findings, and compliance records
- Support evaluation of construction methods, equipment usage, work procedures, and safety controls
- Develop and maintain documentation including safety reports, inspection checklists, training records, and compliance documents
- Identify workplace hazards, safety violations, or operational risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Support senior safety engineers in accident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of safety improvements
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, contractors, workers, and regulatory teams to ensure safety compliance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as incident rates, safety performance, compliance levels, and risk reduction metrics
- Assist with safety training, emergency response planning, toolbox talks, and awareness programs
- Support implementation of quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards
- Prepare technical inputs for project reviews, safety meetings, audits, regulatory inspections, and management decisions
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of construction safety principles and risk management
- Basic understanding of construction processes, site operations, safety regulations, and hazard control methods
- Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA, ISO 45001, or other industry safety guidelines
- Knowledge of construction activities including excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, electrical safety, and equipment handling
- Familiarity with PPE standards, emergency procedures, and accident prevention techniques
- Ability to analyze safety data and translate findings into practical safety improvements
- Strong attention to detail, documentation practices, and compliance standards
- Effective communication skills for conducting training and presenting safety findings to diverse teams
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic, field-based construction environment
- Exposure to safety management tools, reporting systems, or risk assessment methodologies is a plus
