EXL is a company specializing in healthcare customer service, and they are seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst. The role involves developing and implementing ETL processes, monitoring data flows, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient data management and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling data, including data quality, data organization, metadata and data profiling
- Import the data and perform the quality control steps to determine raw data quality
- Create new Big Data and Azure Databricks datasets from raw data files using Import Techniques and modify existing datasets using Set, Merge, Sort, Update, and other conditional statements
- Develop logics to map the client data with the Data Warehouse
- Develop and change implementation logic for new and existing clients based on the Change Requests received from the client
- Extensively perform Data Cleansing during the ETL Extraction and Loading Phase by analyzing the raw data and writing SQL, Pyspark
- Program and create complex reusable Macros
- Collaborate with team members on the analysis, development, and delivery of support and project tasks for assigned group(s)
- Contribute technical expertise in Azure Databricks and follow best practices to ensure efficient implementation. Communicate with clients to address questions and provide clarifications as needed. Support task planning and progress tracking and assist in coordinating daily workloads
- Actively participate in team activities to help drive project success
- Constantly look for ways to improve processes and implement new initiatives and make sure all staff understand them
- Give prompt and accurate information on individual staff member performance. Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Telecommuting permitted
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Applications, Computer Science, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in Healthcare data analytics
- Five (5) years of experience with ETL and integration
- Data Warehousing experience
- Four (4) years of experience with US Healthcare data and claims processes
- Three (3) years of experience with Membership, Medical, Pharmacy, and Laboratory domains
- Experience in Care Optimization, Payment Integrity and PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) operations
- Experience with Cloud, BigData, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse
- Data processing using Apache Spark (SQL, PySpark)
- Experience with SAS (BASE, SQL, Macros) and Python
- Bachelor's degree plus Eight (8) years of experience in Healthcare data analytics in lieu of a Master's degree plus Five (5) years of experience in Healthcare data analytics
