Revolution Space is building advanced space systems for the 21st century, and they are seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer with a mechanical background for product development. The role involves contributing to the full life cycle development of in-space electric propulsion products and leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the overall system architecture, including components and interfaces
- Support integration of Revolution Space’s thrusters onto a spacecraft
- Meet program or project objectives
- Support technical business development activities
- Develop appropriate documentation (ICDs, User Guides, etc.)
- Identify and flow up technological constraints
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field
- 15+ years space systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of spacecraft/satellite needs and requirements
- Knowledge of space industry standards, protocols, and constraints related to flight and ground system development
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong focus on quality and reliability
- Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field
- 20+ years of space systems development experience
- Experience designing and analyzing space systems
- Previous experience developing flight or ground systems for space
- Experience with space system test sequences (acceptance, qualification, etc.)
- Experience with spacecraft/satellite mission planning and/or operations
- Electric or chemical space propulsion experience
