Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Application Engineer III - Integration to join our team and drive enterprise-level integration initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in building, debugging, and optimizing complex interconnected systems, with a strong focus on APIs, messaging, and middleware. The ideal candidate will operate at a senior engineer level, balancing hands-on technical work with system-level testing and validation in highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise integrations across APIs, messaging systems, and middleware.

• Work with message queue technologies (MQ/MQS or similar) to ensure reliable data flow.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues across distributed, interconnected systems (e.g., ESP, NuSoft, or similar platforms).

• Perform integration and system-level testing to validate end-to-end data lifecycle.

• Identify and resolve issues across multiple systems with a strong QA mindset.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with standards.

• Operate in environments where engineers are responsible for both development and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in enterprise integrations (API, messaging, middleware).

• Hands-on experience with message queue technologies (MQ/MQS or similar).

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, data validation, and transformation.

• Proficiency in SQL and database querying.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.

Testing & QA Mindset

• Proven ability to perform integration and system-level testing.

• Experience validating full data lifecycle end-to-end.

• Ability to identify issues across multiple interconnected systems.

Experience Level

• 7-10+ years of professional engineering experience.

• Prior experience operating at a senior or lead engineer level.

• Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
