We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to support and enhance a university technology environment in New Concord, Ohio. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining reliable infrastructure across network, server, desktop, and voice systems while ensuring consistent service for campus users. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the performance and stability of the campus data network, including connectivity, switches, firewalls, cabling, and related infrastructure components.
Administer remote and long-distance access services to ensure dependable connectivity for authorized users.
Support the ongoing operation of the university voicemail platform and resolve service-related issues as they arise.
Handle daily technical support activities such as office relocations, hardware or connectivity issues, circuit coordination, and general infrastructure troubleshooting.
Create and maintain operational materials such as documentation, support guides, forms, billing-related documents, and informational resources.
Deliver user instruction and technical guidance to stakeholders when new tools, processes, or support needs arise.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to address service needs, equipment matters, and ongoing support requirements.
Plan, install, configure, and maintain network and systems hardware and software across the environment.
Keep accurate records of equipment failures, repair activity, and recurring technical issues to support service continuity and problem resolution.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support within a complex technical environment.
Hands-on expertise with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10 administration.
Experience working with Dell Technologies equipment and enterprise hardware support.
Knowledge of Citrix technologies and their use in end-user or systems environments.
Practical experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and network communications troubleshooting.
Familiarity with voice or voicemail systems administration and support.
Strong documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to operational detail.
