Happy Cog is a growing interactive agency of 70+ people, all working 100% remotely. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead client relationships and projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and accountability for budgets and team dynamics.
Responsibilities:
- You will own a portfolio of client work from kickoff through launch and beyond. You are the person clients trust, and the person your team relies on to keep things moving
- Owning the client relationship. You are the steady, clear, human point of contact. You answer the hard questions, keep everyone pointed at the same goal, and ensure clients know they are in good hands
- Driving the work forward. You are not waiting on a status update to learn where things stand. You already know, and you are already clearing whatever is in the way
- Carrying real accountability for budget, burn, and margin. Delivery discipline is not the dry part of this job. It is how you protect both the client's investment and ours, and you take it seriously
- Leading cross-functional teams of designers and developers, working with AI assisted delivery, and adapting your plans, estimates, and timelines as that way of working evolves
- Keeping accounts healthy and growing. You notice where we could do more for a client and you raise it. This is not a sales role and there is no quota, but the best people in this seat spot those opportunities and surface them naturally
- Setting the standard. As a senior member of the team, you help shape how we work and lift the people around you, mostly by example
Requirements:
- A senior agency operator who has done this before and stays calm when things get hard. Clients believe you, and your team wants to work with you
- An exceptional communicator who can make complicated things clear, whether you are talking to a developer, a designer, or a client's CEO
- Genuinely excited about AI and what it is doing to this work. You have shown real initiative here: you have taught yourself, learned from the people around you, and kept up with a space that changes month to month. We are not going to hand you a list of tools to memorize, because by the time you start that list will have changed. We need someone who keeps pace
- Deeply organized and proactive, able to hold many moving pieces and many stakeholders across a fully remote team without letting anything slip
- A genuine problem solver who sees risk coming and handles it before it becomes a problem, and who can de-escalate a tense moment for the people around them
