PREDICTION builds AI systems for government and critical-infrastructure customers, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to own build velocity across their generative-AI and computer-vision product surfaces. The role involves managing engineering throughput and shipping changes rapidly, focusing on agent orchestration rather than hand-coding.
Responsibilities:
- You are the engineering throughput behind a fast-moving product
- You own subsystems end to end, form your own view on what is built well and what should be torn out, and rebuild the parts you judge inadequate
- You ship many times a day
- You run fleets of coding agents in parallel on one repository, drive them by short instruction and screenshot, watch their output stream rather than reading every diff, and rely on git as the safety net instead of approval gates
- You think in blast radius, fanning small changes out across parallel agents and putting larger ones under a single agent you watch closely
- Day to day this means rapid interface and feature iteration against an established codebase, wiring model-classification output into generation, hardening a tenancy layer, replacing demo-grade document export with production-grade output, and restructuring a large monolithic frontend into something maintainable
- When you decide a subsystem is wrong, you say so, propose the replacement, and build it
- You form architectural opinions quickly and act on them without waiting for permission, you work well against a product owner who iterates fast and reverses direction often, and you measure your work by what shipped today
Requirements:
- Experience building production software with coding agents as the primary tool
- Ability to run long-horizon agent campaigns with a clear objective function
- Experience standing up adversarial agents to interrogate working agents
- Ability to form architectural opinions quickly and act on them without waiting for permission
- Experience working against a product owner who iterates fast and reverses direction often
- Ability to measure work by what shipped today
