NextGen Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare software solutions, and they are seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of product marketing initiatives. This role involves developing go-to-market strategies, conducting market research, and collaborating with sales teams to enhance product positioning and drive adoption in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new products and features, working cross-functionally with product management, sales, and marketing teams
- Conduct ongoing market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs; use insights to inform product development and positioning
- Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with healthcare providers, administrators, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales leadership to create tools, presentations, and training materials that enable the sales team to effectively communicate product value and close deals
- Leverage data to identify key customer segments and their unique needs; develop strategies to increase engagement and retention within each segment
- Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and through publications to build brand credibility and thought leadership in healthcare software
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product marketing team
- Establish KPIs to measure the success of product marketing initiatives
- Understanding of the healthcare information technology market and the future needs of healthcare organizations
- Understand competitive solutions, pricing, and market positioning
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within healthcare, SaaS, or technology sectors
- Proven expertise in developing go-to-market strategies and executing product launches
- Experience working within organizations of comparable scale, ideally ranging from 800 million to 2 billion in annual revenue, with demonstrated success operating in complex, growth-oriented environments
- Strong understanding of healthcare software and/or healthcare systems, patient engagement solutions, and the regulatory environment in healthcare technology
- Direct go-to-market experience for Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or Practice Management (PM) solutions, with a deep understanding of the healthcare provider market, buying processes, competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Strong data analytics and research skills to drive informed decisions and optimize campaigns
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to translate technical features into compelling, benefit-focused messaging
- Strategic vision to align product marketing with long-term business goals and foster collaboration across departments
