As a Data Scientist supporting Data Strategy, you will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze data from multiple sources using statistical methods and visualization tools to identify trends and actionable insights
- Build and deploy predictive models using appropriate machine learning techniques aligned to business objectives
- Support the development of data-driven strategies by translating analytical findings into meaningful business recommendations
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data while partnering with governance teams to maintain compliance and standards
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into scalable analytical solutions, and communicate findings effectively
- Leverage modern analytics platforms and visualization tools; stay current on emerging technologies and share best practices with teams
- Define and track KPIs, analyze performance trends, and recommend optimizations to improve business outcomes
- Identify new data sources and analytical approaches to drive innovation and competitive advantage
- Ensure adherence to data privacy and regulatory requirements, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies
- Present complex insights in a clear, actionable manner and apply strategic and tactical thinking to solve business challenges
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and typically 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, visualization, and/or supporting data-driven business environments
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modeling
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Looker, or ThoughtSpot
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Databricks Lakehouse architecture
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Keras)
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and predictive analytics
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into business impact
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Experience in healthcare and/or supply chain environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to connect analytics to business and financial outcomes
- Experience working in high-visibility roles with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to operate with a tactical mindset while driving strategic impact
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
