Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business growth in the Life Sciences sector by developing strategic relationships and identifying new customers.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize business development process to identify new customers and develop specific action plans to grow new accounts in the Life Sciences space
- Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities
- Assemble and coordinate acquisition team as needed for customers and projects
- Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required sales team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process
- Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations
- Travel: 40% - 60%, dependent on business needs
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4+ years of business development and indirect solution sales experience in the Life Sciences market space
- Proven experience developing and maintaining high-level business relationships that produce results
- First-hand experience and strong working knowledge in one or more of the following vertical markets: Pharmaceutical and Biopharma, as well as higher ed and healthcare spaces as they relate to life sciences
- Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related course of study is strongly preferred
