Role: Mainframe DB2 System Admin

Job Description:

• Experience as a DB2 (on z/OS) L4 Database Administrator.
• Working knowledge of DB2 Internals, fundaments, installations and operations.
• Working knowledge of DB2 Data Sharing in Parallel Sysplex environment.
• Knowledge of Systems Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning.
• Knowledge of security interface with DB2 & Experience with SMP/E and UserMods.
• Experience with installation and using DB2 tools & ISV Products.
• REXX, HTML and/or java code understanding ability, CICS/DB2 and MQ/DB2.
• Knowledge of interfacing with and installing OEM vendor tools.
• Disaster Recovery Planning and support.
• Proficiency in DB2 Systems Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning.
• Proficiency in application related performance and tuning, access path analysis including extensive SQL coding tuning.
• Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools, Logical and physical database design skills.
