Lead Oracle DBA

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Database Administrator to join one of our top clients in Nashville TN. This role is perfect for a seasoned IT professional with a strong background in relational database management and administration, and a passion for leading and mentoring technical teams

Position Overview:

• Lead the operational and strategic management of enterprise database systems across on-premise and cloud-based environments
• Ensure the availability, performance, recoverability, and security of data platforms
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of database engineers and administrators
• Oversee the development and enforcement of database performance monitoring, alerting, and telemetry standards
• Coordinate with InfoSec and Audit teams to ensure database systems are aligned with corporate security policies

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in IT with a focus on relational database management and administration
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a database or platform engineering function
• Designed and supported complex Oracle GoldenGate replication architectures
• Proven experience managing full Oracle patch lifecycle
• Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and Exadata systems
• Proficient with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with cloud-native databases (e.g., Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
