About this role
SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank committed to transforming personal finance for its members. They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define the architecture and technical strategy for their AI-driven financial guidance agent, working closely with various teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Define the technical strategy and architecture for AI Agent for Member, and lead cross-team system design and execution
- Define the evaluation strategy and lead the implementation of systems and processes to measure, monitor, and improve AI agent quality and reliability
- Drive quality, reliability, observability, safety and compliance of the AI Agent in a regulated environment
- Partner closely with product, data science, design, and business leaders to translate product vision into scalable systems
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, and elevate engineering excellence across the org
