Grayde.ai is a life science AI data company that specializes in providing annotation, evaluation, and benchmarking data for AI models in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. They are seeking a Founding Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving revenue through lead generation, outreach, and closing deals with technical and commercial buyers in the US and UK/Europe markets.
Responsibilities:
- Run outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, email, and cold calls
- Lead consultative discovery and sales conversations with technical and commercial buyers
- Build and manage a pipeline in HubSpot
- Close initial contracts and expand accounts
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships where relevant
Requirements:
- 5+ years in OUTBOUND enterprise B2B sales, ideally in AI/data services or life sciences
- Someone disciplined, organised and self-motivated
- Experience selling to pharma, biotech, medical devices, or AI product companies
- Comfortable selling to both technical buyers (ML engineers, data scientists) and commercial buyers
- Track record of winning new business through outbound, not inbound
- Strong written communication. You'll write a lot of your own outreach
- Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows (RLHF, model evaluation, data labelling)
- Existing relationships in pharma AI or biotech AI teams
- Experience selling managed or professional services
