UL Solutions is a global leader in applied safety science, and they are seeking a Senior Enterprise Software Sales Executive to develop and close new business across the ULTRUS™ software portfolio. The role involves partnering with sales teams and managing enterprise accounts to drive sales and expand the company's market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Owns the development and closing of new business across the full ULTRUS™ software portfolio, including ESG and sustainability, product stewardship, retail compliance, and materials intelligence solutions
- Develops deep knowledge of UL Solutions Software and Advisory offerings and positions integrated solutions to drive meaningful business outcomes for enterprise clients
- Achieves bookings targets by selling UL Solutions Software and Advisory platforms to assigned enterprise accounts
- Serves as the primary opportunity owner for 5 to 7 enterprise accounts, developing and executing holistic account strategies that emphasize solution selling across the full ULTRUS™ portfolio
- Manages a defined list of assigned accounts while strategically engaging new prospects to land net new business
- Drives new logo acquisition and expansion growth within existing enterprise accounts across the assigned territory
- Leads discovery, opportunity identification, solution design, proposal development, and deal closure for UL Solutions software and advisory offerings
- Builds, manages, and grows trusted relationships with executive level stakeholders and key decision makers within assigned accounts
- Demonstrates strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory drivers, and client market needs, with the ability to clearly articulate the value of ULTRUS™ solutions to executive audiences
- Owns the end to end sales process, leveraging Pre Sales Product Specialists, Solution Architects, and Sales Support teams as needed
- Partners closely with Client Success Specialists to ensure strong adoption, renewal, and expansion of UL Solutions software and advisory solutions
- Engages clients through in person and virtual interactions, including video, phone, and email, with travel up to 50 percent to support high potential enterprise opportunities
- Exhibits strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills, building long term, trusted advisor relationships at all levels of client organizations
- Applies creative and strategic thinking to solution design, pricing approaches, and pursuit strategies to differentiate ULTRUS™ from competitors
- Develops innovative approaches to market UL Solutions software and advisory services and drive competitive differentiation
- Applies sales best practices and methodologies while effectively using CRM and sales enablement tools to manage pipeline and forecast accuracy
- Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams and external partners, including peers, affiliate executives, alliance partners, and industry partners
- Creates and delivers high impact executive presentations, proposals, and communications using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Sets, tracks, and achieves quarterly and annual sales goals, establishing processes to monitor performance and report progress to senior leadership and the board
- Shares customer requirements, insights, risks, and opportunities with engineering, product, and cross functional teams to influence roadmap and solution development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of sales, account management and sales operations
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
- Relevant industry experience with understanding of industry trends and challenges
- Successful track record of selling, creating strategies, plans and successful lead generation campaigns that resulted in multi-million deals, to large multinational manufacturers
- Hands on sales experience with the ability to both pursue, manage, and close new strategic accounts
- Superb strategic, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and develop strategies, partnering with other leaders to create an aggressive yet manageable path
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence high-level decision makers
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal constituents both on the service delivery side and throughout a high collaborative team-based sales process
- Innovative self-starter
- Experience presenting to small and large groups both online and in person
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), CRM software, and digital account planning tools
- Ability to travel >50%
- 2+ years of related sales experience
- Bachelors and/or graduate degree in software engineering or related field
- Deep knowledge and experience with specialty product / services within assigned Software portfolio
- Relevant technical capabilities related to assigned specialty product / service
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
